Fallon Mayanja

residency, NWNM

As a sound and performance artist, Fallon seeks new ways of listening so that we view ourselves, others and our surroundings differently. In her work, she taps into voices, rhythms and vibrations from different worlds. Among other things, Fallon builds poetic club landscapes about black histories, experiences and culture – she is also a member of the collective Black(s) to the Future.

Using primarily electronics and technology as tools for sharing and feeling, her work leads to an analysis of the (in)audible, the unspoken and unsayable, and the sensory within sound.
