Rosie Sommers is an artist. After her training in Drama at KASK School of Arts Ghent, she followed a master in choreography at ISAC Brussels. As a host, she has organised Bingo nights at bars and concert nights at Volksroom, an off-space in Anderlecht where she lived and organised events for the last two years. A host has a direct relationship with the audience and coordinates in real time, carries the space and the moment rather than trying to direct it in detail beforehand. By working with large groups and adapting performances to different contexts, they want to create spaces where people with different interests meet and social groups mix. She likes situations where spectatorship is made explicit as an action.
