A man.
Standing, watching: the beach, the sea.
The sea is calm, flat; season indefinite, moment lingering.

(Excerpt from The Lover, Duras, 1972)

On the scene are three figures. They move as if dancing. Alone, together, together alone. Some are pursing their lips, moving their tongues. Possibly they are talking, possibly not. Perhaps they are singing? Are they crying? Who can say. Every now and then, yesterday, the third causes the strings to vibrate.

Uroboros will be a performance that attempts to actually take time. An encounter takes place, there is silence, someone dreams, another remembers. Together they forget. Someone leaves. Returns again. Always. Returns.
