Pleun van Engelen is in her last year of Drama school at LUCA School of Arts. As a graduation project she created I WENT TO TROY AND ALL I GOT WAS ANOTHER GREEK TRAGEDY, a performance in which she shares the stage with Mitch van Landeghem. The play is a reboot of the Greek mythology around Andromache and Neoptolemos, two characters that have been involved in an ongoing war of words for three thousand years on the ruins of the city of Troje. On the importance of a shared truth and what the consequences could be if there is no such thing, on what can be believed in and what can be denied, on who you trust and what you lie about – a tangle in which the thread gets lost and knots can probably not longer be unpicked.
