In her practice Luna Demey has been scanning the streets for objects that have no known function to her. This activity she likes to call ‘Spoenken’. Out of these ‘Spoenks’, which have the status of litter lying around and seem to have lost all meaning, she creates new collections and categories that can generate a new significance to them. In a performance she attempts to let these goods tell their own story and reveal their peculiarity through one giant chain reaction. Here role is limited to being the mediator between the audience and the objects.
