Bernardo Robles Hidalgo

Bernardo Robles Hidalgo (1984) studied architecture at ENSAPB and project management for construction at the University of Brighton. He is a painter and illustrator, with exhibitions at the Royal Academy of Arts (RAA) and the Watercolour Society Competition (WSC) in London, as well as Het Nieuwe Instituut in Rotterdam, among others. He has worked as an illustrator and dismantler for Rotor.
Currently, he collaborates with La Rue ASBL and Toestand VZW, developing a socio-spatial analysis as Chief Janitor Officer (CJO) to improve housing conditions and to design and construct public spaces in Brussels. Finally, he is a member of two collectives: MAMA, which develops a critical perspective on the built environment through the lens of maintenance, and BOSCH, a co-housing and shared domestic/community space in the Marolles district of Brussels.
