Carlos Álvarez Clemente

Interactive/participatory installation
Get to know Carlos better
Graduated as an architect at UPM, Madrid, and having received a Master in Fine Arts at KASK, Carlos Álvarez Clemente walks on the border between in-situ interventions, multimedia installations and photography. He often puts people and objects in places and contexts where they originally don’t belong. His practice thus actively reaches for the underlying frictions that rise from these unconventional situations, and tests the balance required for creating such a new context. During Night Shift, he showcases a variation of Mojave, Mojave, a participatory installation composed during a trip through California, stirring biographical and intimate issues via an individual and non-linear engagement. In other words: listen carefully and you’ll soon know where you’ll end up.
