11 seconds
Classic research suggests that a museum visitor usually spends an average of eleven seconds watching an artwork. Visual artist Charlotte Bouckaert now wishes to decide how long we look at a static image in the performance 11 seconds. Instead of exhibiting pictures on the wall, she sets them in motion. Based on the principles of an auction and by using a video camera, Bouckaert researches the potentials of the static image. Her first ideas and developments will be shown during Night Shift.
