[Event] The potential of semi-public space

@ Campus Rommelaere

BREAKFASTCLUB is an intimate meeting with an artistic proposal and with each other. During a meeting at an unusual time with a snack and a drink as a binding factor, other ways of sharing, looking and experiencing become possible. Gouvernement’s concept combines artists’ presentation moments with a moderated conversation on the themes evoked by the works on show.

In the context of De Schone Week of the Art Sciences students at Ghent University, BREAKFASTCLUB #12 wonders what the potential of semi-public space could be.

As the University seeks to transform the T4 building from machine hall to semi-public space, we ponder what that kind of space means, but more importantly what it could offer and for whom? From an artistic perspective, we look at what a semi-public space in the city can be and become.

Two short artistic interventions will lead to a moderated conversation in which panellists and audience interact. The line-up will be announced shortly.
