Fascinated by how a discourse can be experienced in a visceral instead of rational manner, Helena Dietrich examines how language can touch and move a body, cause a shift of perception and even invite altered states of consciousness such as trance or hypnosis. She explores the relations between the human and nonhuman while addressing bodies in their various (trans-)formations. It’s a meditative listening journey; a mingling of different texts (theoretical, anthropological, poetic) becoming a somatic score with live sound, voice, loops and effects.
