Rock hard electronica by the British Cult collective
Gnod
‘Just Say No To The Psycho Right-Wing Capitalist Fascist Industrial Death Machine’: art collective from Manchester Gnod definitely wins the price of Record With The Longest Name. Without any compromise, deliberately activist and very very loud: Gnod takes it all. As a live band they guarantee you unpredictably, intensive shows. It proofs their place between other legendary UK provocative bands like Wire, This Heat, Sleaford Mods, The Fall and Consumer Electronics. Having started as a drone ensemble, they’ve regularly switched genre: from avant-garde trashtechno to kraut and space rock, from primitive noise to psychdrone. Gnod’s discography is at least confusing with the many tapes, CDR’s and vinyl at labels like Rocket Recordings, Blackest Ever Black and Tesla Tapes – their own invention.
“Gnod are steadily becoming the most interesting and important band in the UK. Nobody else seems to quite so accurately embody the underbelly of our desires, obsessions, and most of all our innermost fears.” – Drowned In Sound.
Orphan Swords
Brussels duo Orphan Swords relax in the dark no man’s land where old school industrial, brutal noise and dark techno come together. Their tracks were previously remixed by e.g. Helm, Svengalisghost, Prostitutes and Gnod. Yannick Franck – the man behind the idiosyncratic label YERMO – and Pierre de Mûelenaere – co-curator of Bozar Elektronic and Maze – proved themselves multiple times in the past with their countless projects. As Orphan Swords, they guarantee you heavy and raw live sets. Belgian underground at its best!Tickets 8 € presale and at the doors
