Get to know Hilde better
Dutch artist Hilde Onis inscribes herself on the crossroads between sculpture, installation, video and performances, and perceives and receives reality from a different, unconventional corner. Through reflecting on a more metaphorical base on the unconscious relations between individuals, objects and happenings, she aims at reshaping our perception and experience since she stimulates us to create new associations and combinations. In that process, another visual truth rises (which is neither fake or totally real) because of her well-made disorienting situations and somehow conflicting approach. Are we rambling? Take SOAK for example: a bizarre cleaning situation framed by a chaos of foam, cleaners and sponges – a lot of them.
