Inspired heavily by oriental music, indie rock, blues, drones & psychedelica, Spookhuisje’s debut album made quite some impact when it got released 3 years ago. The hypnotic guitar style of Raphael Absolonne, wavering between intimate ambience and brute explosions, quickly gained trademark-status. Spookhuisje as a solo project returns later this year with the release of nothing less than 2 albums.
For the impatient amongst us, there’s Spookhuisje 3: a three piece band with Tommy Denys on bass and Tom Lezaire on drums. They’ve been rehearsing intensively and will try out some new compositions, due to be recorded in summer, for yet another release.
Afterwards Der Grenzgänger (stroom.tv) will continue the journey with a selection of transcendental sounds.
