WOLF EYES music residency series 2018: A twenty-year journey of art and sound

 

Two days of absolute mayhem are coming to Gouvernement. The experimental noise ensemble Wolf Eyes invites old and new friends to join them on stage alongside almost every solo and duo set-up they can cram into two evenings worth of time. Wolf Eyes Music 2018 Residency Series will be primarily performed by the musical duo Nate Young and John Olson, in collaboration with local performance artists and musicians. In 2017 Wolf Eyes Music resided in San Francisco, Los Angeles and New York City, and now they’re coming to Ghent. Their goal of the residency series is to break free from the music industry touring cycle. They wish to experiment with new techniques and explore new artistic relationships with little to no time limit.

Wolf Eyes plan on playing several sets with friends such as Regression, Spykes, Henry and Hazel Slaughter and Wolf Eyes 2004 (from a parallel universe where Wolf Eyes remained a duo after 2004). Olson promises to read an excerpt from his critically acclaimed book Life Is A Rip Off (2016)
