KONNEKTOR resident

Originally from Guinea, Barry Ahmad Talib is currently active as a visual artist in Decoratelier Jozef Wouters and Globe Aroma, an open cultural house in Brussels. In collaboration with Decoratelier, Talib cocreated the scenography for the exhibition ‘De Grond der Dingen / The Neverending Park’ in Museum Hof van Busleyden. Fascinated by the colour variations and transformations of trees in Europe, he designs colourful trees that exude a warm feeling. The logs are built out of wood, the vibrant leafs are fashioned from carpet. Talib also avidly draws the world around him.
During his residency, he will expand his collection of trees. He wishes to capture the eclectic landscape of the transitional area in both image and drawings, in order to trigger a dialogue between the natural environment and his artificial trees.
