Night Shift: from dusk till dawn
De Studio, Antwerp

Turning De Studio into a diverse and

international reservoir of remarkable artists

Gouvernement, De Studio and Arenberg are back for round two, letting over 30 artists loose as they unfold their ever-intriguing artistic ‘tour de forces’ on the border between visual art, theatre and music. In light of the project لَّث [muṯallaṯ], a group of artists from Palestine will join the diverse programme as this edition forms the second in the Night Shift 2020 series.

During Night Shift, Gouvernement claims the entire building of a cultural institute alongside artists from different backgrounds, disciplines and countries. From dusk till dawn, De Studio acts as the dashing, free and informal playfield for thrilling performances, in situ created interventions, all sorts of experiments and suddenly activated installations, which also trigger a dialogue between the maker, the work and the public – that’s you!

In a 12-hour long swirling program, the actions succeed each other swiftly, evoke surprising interactions andallow for new interpretations and meanings, ultimately adding multiple layers. The night shift is irreversible!

The stamp is clear and visible
the marks are made
the night shift is irreversible.
