Ilke Gers is a visual artist from Aotearoa New Zealand, based in Rotterdam. She works with installation, performance and publishing to investigate the human body in designed systems, and bring movement, behaviour, social and spatial conditions into play. Taking the form of physical games open-scripted performances, or interventions in public space, her works experiment with how given structures can be re-imagined by generating a space for encounter and experience. For Night Shift, Ilke will use industrial pipes to create an installation that intervenes in the ex-factory space of Decoratelier.
